A comprehensive Community Service program is in place for all elementary and secondary students at CONELTA. The goal of this program is to integrate meaningful, sustainable community service with instruction and reflection to enrich the learning experience, teach civic responsibility and strengthen communities. Activities will provide opportunities for students to become active contributing citizens and community members through the service they perform. Service learning is applied in a variety of settings and involves whole classes and groups of students working with others at school and in the greater community to create service projects.In Elementary School, each grade level will select a project to work on.In Secondary School, each advisory group will plan and implement a project related to one of four areas: Animals, Children, Environment/Conservation, or Recycling.
